Must Buy – €24m Playmaker Thrilled by Liverpool Interest

Liverpool have currently the best attacking lineup in the country but what they lack is depth in that department.
The likes of City and Chelsea have more than a few world class players not only starting but also on the bench.
However, Reds do not have that much firepower on their bench and must improve that in the next transfer window.
With Champions League qualification almost done and dusted, top players will now want to move to Liverpool.
One of them is Bayern Munich star Xherdan Shaqiri who is thrilled by Liverpool interest. The Swiss playmaker signed for the German side at the start of last season but has normally been warming the bench more often than not.
In their title winning campaing, Shaqiri featured in 26 league games for the Germans but could only start 13. Moreover, even in those games he was taken off 7 times.
Adding to that, Shaqiri played seven Champions League games for Bayern last year and started 6 on the bench.
This season, things have not changed for the €24m star even under new manager Guardiola. The former Basel star has only featured in 14 league games, only started 8 and was even subbed 6 times.
The 22 year old star is highly talented but because of immense competition for attacking mid places at Bayern, he has rarely got the chance that he deserves.
Liverpool were interested in luring the Swiss star last summer as well but in the end opted to loan Victor Moses.
His situation is complex and Reds must do all to buy him in the next transfer window who can play in any attacking midfield position and will largely improve Liverpool’s squad.
