Mata to Play Central – Man United's Possible XI vs Albions

Juan Mata Diego MaradonaOnly wins will do from here on if Manchester United are to have any hope of finishing the season in the top 4. Looks highly unlikely though.
West Brom defeated the Red Devils at Old Trafford earlier this season and even though they are fighting for relegation now, Albions can win at home against a low on confidence United side.
As far as the team news is concerned, Moyes has been hit with a major blow as star striker Robin van Persie is ill might not play the game as well.
In such a scenario, it is the perfect time for Moyes to start record signing Juan Mata in his preferred position as a central attacking midfielder behind Wayne Rooney.
The former Chelsea star has been mainly utilized out-wide since his move from Stamford Bridge.
Here is Man United’s possible XI vs Albions.

I would love to see mata playing in his preferred role, moyes needs to change his tactics too, cz all the players scoring in world cup friendlies but can’t deliver for united.

I think it shows how crap moyes tactics are, I see it as the players showing moyes what he didn’t seem to see.

smalling in the right back is not ideal

Great news for man utd for the blow of the flop RVP, Mata for central while Rooney top front best ever formation

  4. Dave says:

Face facts, Rooney will always play centrally, mata will be on the wing and welbeck will be upfront, and you’ll prob see adnan on the bench.. Honestly do you believe moyes will change the way he sets the team up? No

I bet we see Young and Cleverley playing… or at least one of these two will start… Moyes is brainless, stubborn and prefers the players that like him and respond to him well in training, over talent, he is so tactically weak and I don’t see him changing – he can’t do this job being so inflexible and scared of changing his ways. Our defence has been really poor this season but our attack has been even more hopeless… mostly due to the tactics he does not know how to instill fluid football, he is a “hoof it into the box and see” manager from yesteryear. All he should now say is “just go out and play” and let them do their thing and we would win…easy. If we lose this one, he should do the honest thing and pack up…

RVP instead Valencia. Find some place for Kagawa . Maybe: De Gea, Valencia, Rio, Vidic, Evra,Carrick, Januzaj, Mata, Kagawa, Rooney, RVP.

  6. Utdfan says:

You might as well forget it, Moyes can’t even string 3 wins in a row much less win all the remaining games. Just can’t understand why Man Utd management can’t see Moyes and his bloody Everton coaches for what they really are………Incompetent & Clueless, so the only conclusion is that the Man Utd Board is MORE Incompetent that the Manager and his Everton coaching staff combined……….Bobby Just RIP, Fergie leave the board and focus on selling your Books and finally Glazers, wake up and take appropriate action, otherwise this club will no longer be a Cash Cow for you !!!

Smalling & evera aren`t suitable this position.

  8. JackMUFC says:

We should play kagawa behind rooney and mata on the right

  9. Ifiok james says:

Moyes need to play mata in the central so we can get the best from him. D Gea; Smillings,Rio, vidic,Evra; faillani, carrick; kagawa, mata, januzaj; Rooney(4 2 3 1).
