Manchester United splashed a heavy sum in the winter transfer market to sign Chelsea star Juan Mata for a record deal.
The Spaniard has not been able to find his top form as yet but was voted the best player of the last month by the supporters.
Quality and class of the former Valencia play-maker cannot be denied and sooner rather than later United fans will see him perform at the optimum level.
Mata was not able to help Manchester United against Liverpool as the merseysiders ran out comfortable winners on Sunday. With that defeat, United’s chances of qualifying for Champions league through CL are virtually over.
The only hope is that somehow if they can perform a miracle in this year’s competition.
Juan Mata wrote a comprehensive blog showing that he is upset at United’s dismal form but believes that the storm will pass and sun will rise again.
Although, the Spanish international is cup tied in the Champions league but still claims that he will help Man United qualify for CL last eight.
“As you know I cannot play in the Champions any more this season but I’ll be backing the team in Old Trafford as any other fan. If we score in the first few minutes, I think we can make it with your help”
The Old Trafford faithful did support the team to the fullest despite a horrific display against Liverpool.
The support is surely going to be helpful but United need to raise the level of their game to turn the tie around against Olympiacos having lost the first leg 2-0 in Greece.
