Precise Passer, Strong DM – Man United in for Midfield Ace

The midfield conundrum of Manchester United seems never ending as David Moyes is finding it hard to revive their season.
Red Devils boss has tried different combinations in the midfield department but nothing has really worked for them.
The inconsistency in midfield has been disastrous for the English Champions who currently sit 7th in the premier league.
Moyes has wasted two transfer windows, yes wasted is the right word as even when they had lots of cash, United were unable to sign someone who can dominate midfield battles.
Such has been the desperation of United manager that he has to utilize his best attacking player Wayne Rooney in midfield hoping against hope that it will work but that also flopped against Stoke.
Now, the Red Devils are facing an up hill task to qualify for the Champions league and even the heartiest of supporter is starting to believe that perhaps next season they will not be part of Europe’s elite competition.
If such a scenario arises then Manchester United should forget about signing world class players for midfield. One highly rated midfielder William Carvalho is linked but perhaps without CL it is highly unlikely that he will join United.
Therefore, United will have to look for alternatives and perhaps they have one in their sights.
According to Daily Star, Manchester United want to sign Magpies midfield act Cheick Tiote next summer.
Tiote is a realistic and decent target for them as he is a precise passer and a strong defensive midfielder, a combination United are lacking at the moment.
As per Squawka stats, the Ivorian has completed 87% passes in 21 premier league appearances this season and more importantly has only made 2 defensive errors.
United should look to seal the deal early in the summer but surely they will need more reinforcements than just the Newcastle man to bounce back next season.
