Player Ratings – Arsenal vs Manchester United

BPLArsenal and Manchester United fought out a draw at the Emirates last night, a result that perhaps both teams did not want.
United needed to win in hop of CL qualification next season and Arsenal needed three points to go top of the table again.
However, Wenger’s men, despite playing at home had the defensive fears because of the disaster that struck against Liverpool and were cautious.
Robin van Persie and Giroud had golden chances to score for their sides but both strikers had a bad day.
In the end, the game ended in a 0-0 stalemate. Here are the player ratings.

And I wud give Wenger a 3 and Moyes the usual 1!
It was evident from last night miserable and boring Man U approach that Moyes tactic was to ‘play like Everton’ and defend or hold the ball most of the time, frutrate the opposition and throw whatever you have at it when you get a gap! We didn’t look like a team set up tactically to win, rather to draw and hope we don’t lose. Struggling teams end in scoreless draws, not Man U! I really don’t know how much more of the complacency and acceptance of Moyes by the board and owners we still have to endure. If Sat and last nights performance was anything to go on where the best we can to against a top and rock bottom club is a draw then I will reside myself to the fact that we will not make top 4 this season and probably end in a position that Moyes is used to ie, 7th or 8th on the log. I will not accept that Moyes is the future for Man U because he is rubbish and has no success to warrant any vote of confidence from me.

You rated wilshere 7.5 and giroud 3??? Dude,Jack smelled up the field today!!! He must have given the ball up 7or 8 times!! Does anybody ever make any runs towRd goul anymore,or do you expext Giroud to dribble around 4 defenders by himself??? The entire midfield sucked!!

  3. Rons says:

Wilshere not more than 6, he did combine well with Cazorla but not as dominant as he was before his injury setback.
For Giroud even 3 is more..perhaps 1.5 …not getting support is one thing, he cant even take on 1 defender…He had a clear header but failed to hit the target, then again he failed to even touch the ball on a wonder cross from Sagna. He is just average at best..
