Manchester United must lure world class players in the next transfer window to bounce back next season.
The hope of finishing the season in the top 4 is slowly but surely fading and with such bunch of players, they cannot do much.
The Red Devils need to reinforce more than a few departments, perhaps the last one should be that of striking.
Nevertheless, with speculations surrounding star striker Robin van Persie, United are linked with a move for a world class finisher in Edinson Cavani of PSG.
Goal reported a week back that Man United are considering swoop for the highly rated Uruguayan star.
However, that move should not go through if Patrice Evra stays at the club.
According to reports, the French defender has earned Manchester United extension by triggering a clause in his contract.
The reason is obvious and surrounding one man, Luis Suarez, Cavani’s compatriot and best friend.
Cavani alongside all of Uruguay stars fully backed the Liverpool superstar during the race row with Patrice Evra.
The Paris Saint-Germain star does not think, not even for a moment that his fellow country-man is a racist nor did he racially abuse anyone.
However, more importantly, Patrice Evra thinks otherwise and in such a scenario if he stays, it is highly unlikely that Cavani is going to join Manchester United.
There is always a possibility of this situation arising and if there is a chance to lure Cavani then United should sell Evra, he is past his best anyways.
