Chelsea Secured Bargain Buy of the January Window

Although Chelsea lost their talisman Juan Mata in the winter transfer window, Mourinho bought a quality replacement that too for cheap.
Mata was warming the bench under the management of Jose Mourinho despite the fact that he was Chelsea’s best player for the past two seasons.
The Portuguese manager just hated the fact that Mata could not contribute in defense while his system has always demanded that in every club he has managed.
In the end, Chelsea splashed a reported sum of 11 million pounds to hire the services of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah from Basel.
Salah is the man who perhaps single-handedly defeated Chelsea by scoring solo goals in both home and away games in the Champions League and was man of the match on both occasions.
Not only that, Salah was attacking from both flanks and was moving central as well. His versatility is one of the main strengths that make him that special.
Still, perhaps the thing that impressed Mourinho the most is that despite that much work rate in the attacking third, Salah was still tracking back to help in defending and that is one priceless quality significantly required in the premier league.
Although Chelsea have many top quality attacking midfielders at their disposal still Salah, once given the chance will prove that he is worth way more than what the Londoners paid to sign him.
