Arsenal have been chasing German international Julian Draxler for quite some time and the latest reports suggest that Gunners have a major boost to lure Schalke playmaker.
According to Metro, Draxler has claimed that he is ready to quit the German side to look for a new challenge.
“I can make my own decision about my future and I want a new challenge”
Wenger tried to lure him in the winter transfer window but Schalke wanted more money for their prized asset who has a release clause of no less than €46m (as per the provided link).
However, this season, Draxler has been nowhere near his best and surely never played like a star worth the mentioned amount.
Gunners already have so many attacking midfielders at disposal but Wenger wants more. Draxler should come for cheap at the end of the season and that is another major boost for Arsenal.
On the other hand, Liverpool are all set to qualify for Europe’s elite competition, the Champions league for the first time after four long years.
If that happens, Reds will surely be able to target world class players and have high hopes of luring them with CL involvement.
As per Metro, Liverpool are eyeing a record breaking €45m move to sign Spanish sensation Isco from Real Madrid.
The former Malaga playmaker is without doubt one of the brightest prospects around and was influential for the Los Blancos during the start. However, the arrival of Bale and his combination of Ronaldo and Benzema of late has made Isco warm the bench more often than not.
Liverpool’s main concern is defense as they are currently topping the goal scoring charts in the premier league. Still, a signing like Isco will be a massive statement and will give Liverpool huge boost.
