Chelsea are looking dangerous again under the management of Jose Mourinho as the Portuguese looks to bring back glory days.
Blues already have a star studded side but the legendary manager wants to add more quality to reclaim the premier league title.
Back in 2011, Chelsea splashed hefty sum to sign Fernando Torres from Liverpool and David Luiz from Benfica. The London side perhaps made a massive mistake by selling Nemanja Matic as a deal sweetener to lure Brazilian Luiz.
Matic went to the Portuguese league and became the biggest star there. Last season, Serbian star won the coveted Primeira Liga player of the year award and has drawn interest from major clubs.
Jose Mourinho seems ready fix Chelsea’s mistake and bring Matic home this winter as reports suggest that Blues are close to signing him back from Benfica.
Capable of breaking play and providing brilliant passes, Matic is going to reinforce Chelsea’s defense as well as help in attack.
His signing may also mean that David Luiz and Lampard will most probably find themselves on the bench as Ramires has been clear favorite in center midfield position.
Hence Matic will partner the Brazilian star to dominate the midfield battle.
Apart from a versatile central midfielder, Chelsea have another long term ongoing problem and that is of a striker.
Can Jose Mourinho somehow fix that problem once and for all by signing a prolific goal scorer as well? We shall see.

The striking area for me should have been the clubs topmost top most proirity for re enforcement. None theless am not saying the central midfield is not worth re enforcement. If we dont win the trophy, its because our strickers have failed to deliver us goals bcos none of our three strikers can get us the needed goals
