Liverpool move back to fourth place after defeating Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium for the first time in the premier league.
It was perhaps a battle of crap defenses as both teams made barrage of errors and were punished.
At the end of the day, Liverpool had more quality to punish Stoke’s mistakes more than Stoke could punish theirs. The difference was inevitably made by currently the best player in the world Luis Suarez and his returning partner Daniel Sturridge.
Suarez scored yet another brace and now leads the European Golden Shoe race having netted 22 times.
Everyone attached with Liverpool was delighted to see SAS back in full flow and both combined to secure all three points for the merseysiders.
Liverpool owner John W Henry only had words of praise for Suarez and Sturridge and was impressed by the performance as well.
The owner tweeted delighted when Sturridge assisted Suarez’s second goal.
“What a dynamic duo!”
After the performance, Henry heaped more praise claiming.
“Stoke conceded 7 goals in 10 home matches. LFC 5 today. What a match. Stoke terrific intensity matched by LFC speed, quality and desire. 3!”
Liverpool are headed in the right direction and with Sturridge back, the fans can expect brilliant things. Next up, Liverpool will face two home games and will look to continue the winning run.
