Chelsea won their Champions league group with a 1-0 win in their final group game against Bucharest. In-form striker Demba Ba scored the only goal of the game.
Blues will hope to bounce back in the premier league as well. The London side lost their last game versus Stoke thanks to a stunning late strike from Liverpool loanee Assaidi.
Next up, they face Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge and will be favorites going into the fixture. However, Palace has been in great form lately having won their last two league fixtures and have earned 10 points from their last 6 games (equal to Chelsea).
As far as Chelsea team news is concerned, Luiz and Oscar returned from injuries in midweek but perhaps only the latter will keep his place in the starting XI versus Palace. Luiz may be benched to make way for Cahill.
One player who deserves to start more than anyone is Senagalese Demba Ba. Astonishingly, Ba started his last league game 2 months back, on 6th October versus Norwich. He did provide an assist in that game but then was out of the lineup for the next three games which is baffling.
In the last 5 league fixtures, Ba has come on as a substitute in the second halves and has scored a goal and provided 2 assists in the games.
It is about time that Jose Mourinho hands him his deserved start after so long as once again he impressed in mid-week.
Here is Chelsea’s likely 11 vs Crystal Palace.

Mmmm…no comment!
Mikel should play the defensive role with ramires. David is a better player to terry. Lampard and terry should always be used as sub.
