Spurs and Liverpool will collide in a key fixture on Sunday. Reds are only 5 points behind Arsenal and may have a great opportunity to close the gap if gunners drop points at the Etihad Stadium tomorrow.
However, the merseysiders are facing major injury concerns in the difficult fixture schedule they have ahead. Daniel Sturridge was already out for long but captain Steven Gerrard went off injured in the last game against West Ham and now will be out for six weeks.
As far as Tottenham are concerned, after humiliating defeats, Villas Boas’s men have bounced back in style to win 2 back to back league games and climb up the table. A win for them will put them level on points with Liverpool.
Their multi million pounds striker Roberto Soldado has been criticized heavily this season for wasting chances and not being able to score often from open play. However the Spaniard scored a brilliant hattrick against Anzhi in the Europa League and will be raring to go against the Reds.
On the other hand, for Spurs, the player they really need to stop is the best player in the league, Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan has netted 15 goals and set up 6 in his 10 league games this season. An astonishing record.
He has not been really prolific away from Anfield and will hope to change that at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
