Andre Villas Boas was under immense pressure after series of horrific league performances and his players put in brilliant effort against the English Champions.
Both teams wanted the win badly but in the end draw was a fair result. However, that is exactly the result that Arsenal wanted as now the Gunners are 10 points clear of their arch rivals Tottenham and also 9 ahead of Red Devils.
Once again, the star of the day for United was none other than Wayne Rooney who netted a brace.
Walker opened the scoring with a clever free kick in the 18th minute but it did not take long before his error brought United back in the game as the match went into half time 1-1.
Spurs were dominant coming back from the break and in the 54th minute Sandro scored a stunning strike to regain Spurs lead. However, minutes later, once again another mistake this time from Lloris handed United penalty and Rooney made no mistake from the spot.
In the later stages, both teams made changes looking for a winning goal but that did not happen. Here are Manchester United Player Ratings vs Tottenham.

It wasn’t a mistake by Lloris, the mistake was from the referee Lloris has tipped the ball when Welbent dragged his foot trying to make contact it was a dive after a good save. Entirely a yellow card for Welbent for unnecessary contact on Lloris. I am happy Spurs didn’t lose, but confused how the press see it as a lucky escape, imho Spurs played the better game.
