Manchester United, the English champions are no less than 9 points behind current premier league leaders Arsenal.
Surely, David Moyes needs more world class players in the winter transfer window if they are to have any hope of retaining the title this season.
After failing to sign top class players in the summer window, the Red Devils’s boss is ready to splash heavy cash to lure multi million signings in January.
According to Telegraph, Manchester United are eyeing moves for trio in January, namely, Ikay Gundogan of Dortmund, Baines of Everton and Ander Herrera of Athletico Bilbao who are worth €103m combined.
German international Gundogan has been one of the best players for Jurgen Klopp’s side last season and his versatility is what United badly need in the central midfield.
He has a release clause of €36m in the contract but because of his recent injury concerns, United may as well look to sign him for a cheaper sum. The player is expected to return in early January and will have enough time to push for his world cup place.
Moyes has been after his favorite left back Baines for quite some time but Everton are making things complicated for his former manager. As previously reported, the Toffees want at least €24m for the 29 year old England international.
The Red Devils also tried to sign Ander Herrera of Athletic Bilbao last summer but eventually failed and lured Fellaini instead. However, they are still after the Spaniard despite the fact that the player has stated that he is happy with his current club.
Herrera has a release clause of €43m in his contract and United were reportedly interested in activating that last summer. Nevertheless, if United do sign Gundogan then they really do not need Herrera.
Whether Moyes will splash that heavy sum to lure the trio to Old Trafford in January, only time will tell.

Mr moyes, your need to sign at least two midfielder this January bcs you will need to spend in order to maintain top 4. Pls sign players bcs we are really missing world class players in man united.
Definitely agree with midfield concerns. Evra is at his best now and midfield in shambles. I would go for Wesley Sneidjer and Ikay Gundogan. If funds permit Koke as well.
Swapping nani for marchisio will be perfect and we need to look into player like gundogan because he has a release clause, but I see no reason signing a 30 years old bainse to replace a 32 years evra, their are many left back like alex sandro…….
Mr moyo, Everton is not a shopping mall, look elsewhere 4 better pkayer, n dont turn our club into an old pples home, ok?
Moyes think positive we need two midfielder. Ilker gundogan and musa dembele. I’m real manunited fans and I love my team I want to be happy in every game. We spend our money to go ingland nd watch united, city match we come back with shame.
mr.moyes we need ikay gundogan for mid field, pedro for winger, mangala for defence nd i believ wit these trio we can make impact nd even mantaining d trophy as well.
Moyes should 4get about baine sneijder, he should go 4 Harrera, Godigan nd Mangala.
Moyes should go for pedro, Gundongan and Garay
Moyes! Do yo think that leighton Baines is worth that all i want now is for you to forget about Baines. I’m hearing that you said you gona give both nani and valencia for sneijder thats too much give them valencia+1
million pounds the other one is about Gundogan yea he’s good hez a very good football the player i want to see in january are these
Reus
Gundogan
Marchisio
Herera
Mangala
Coentrao
Sneijder
these ones are a correct selection plz and dont let go of rooney cuz hez da pillar of man u
moyes should sell fellani while we can, young, nani and anderson
play zaha and januzaj together on the wings.
buy two wingers and two central midfielders including a enforcer that’s not fellani!
As far as the midfield is concerned we need to go for class even if that means they are cup tied in Europe. Gundogan and Koke would be wise. Koke can also play off the wing and in attacking midfield. Hopefully Fellaini can lose his trance and together with Jones we’d guarantee ourselves depth in that zone. We need to get replacement for Evra and Baines is not long-term. Luke Shaw makes more sense. He’s also eligible for Europe. As far as the flanks are concerned, we need to jump-start Nani by putting him in direct competition with Valencia and Januzaj where one has to impress to play.
