Manchester United fans can forget about retaining the premier league title even if they can lure top class players in this upcoming winter’s transfer window.
However, the Devils will hope to add quality stars in their squad after failing to do the same in the summer transfer window.
With star striker Robin van Persie out for a month, Manchester United manager David Moyes may feel the worst as his side is struggling sitting in 9th place in the league.
According to Mirror, Manchester United are ready to move for versatile midfield star Fredy Guarin of Inter Milan who is valued around $24m.
The Colombian star has been one of the most important players for the Nerazzuri this season. He is normally utilized in the central midfield but has the abilities of playing as an attacking midfielder or a secondary striker.
As far as United are concerned, they need a creative central midfielder and Guarin is needed in the central midfield more than any other position.
This season, the 27 year old star has featured in 15 league games for the 2010 Champions League winners and has directly contributed in 8 goals for them. (3 goals, 5 assists).
Manchester United are also eyeing players like Koke for the same position but the Spaniard will cost more plus he is content with life at Atletico.
David Moyes must buy top players at the earliest when the window opens if he is to avoid a disaster season that will mean no Champions league football next year.
