Having lost two back to back games in the premier league, Liverpool have gone from top at Christmas to 5th place in a matter of days.
Brendan Rodgers’s men will look to bounce back against Hull City on new year’s day in the fortress Anfield where they have won 6 consecutive league games.
However, in the reverse fixture, the first one in December, Reds were defeated by Bruce’s side 3-1 and the Tigers are in blistering form at the moment.
Hull City absolutely dismantled Fulham at the weekend beating the Londoners 6-0 and will look to at least take a point from Anfield.
As far as Liverpool team news is concerned, few changes will be made by Rodgers because of injury and tiredness concerns.
Aly Cissokho is likely to return as left back after Agger completely flopped at that role versus Chelsea. The Vice captain will however take Sakho’s place as center back as the French star was injured against Blues.
With Joe Allen also injured, Rodgers may as well start 2 players in midfield in a 4-2-3-1 formation instead of using 4-3-3. Captain Gerrard’s fitness will be assessed but there is no point risking him and if fit, should start from the bench.

Thats a weak side but given the sort of resources available to Rogers, that may be the best he can do. I think Moses should find his way in the team after missing the Chelsea match due to loan terms.
Service to Suarez was none existent during the past two games and Rogers should find ways to make the team unpredictable. Where are all the other 9 outfield players when Suarez gets marked out of a game?????????? Wake up guys!

He created 4 clear cut opportunities and combined with Sterling and Phil many a times. Versus Chelsea yes, he was isolated,mainly because Chelsea dominated LFC’s tired midfield players
Gerrard? Surely back for this game. Starting with Alberto? You must be from Mars!! 4-3-2-1 formation with Gerrard in for Allen. Moses bench at best please. Cissokho also should not be in this team. Agger or even Toure at LB is surely a better option.
