Arsenal are top of the premier league and their champions league group and the best part, they have performed that well without some of key stars.
First team winger, Theo Walcott only recently returned from injury after a long term spell out suffering.
Chamberlain is still far from coming back into action for the club but one player is making quick progress and will return soon.
The player in discussion is German international Lukas Podolski.
Kaiser trained with Arsenal legends Robert Pires and Thierry Henry lately and is getting back to full fitness.
It is likely that Podolski will return to action next month and his return is really significant for Arsenal.
The former Bayern star is versatile, capable of playing both out wide and as a striker.
One position where Arsenal are seriously missing depth is that of a striker. Giroud is the only senior man and fortunately he stayed fit for all this time else Gunners might have suffered.
With the return of Lukas Podolski, Wenger will have depth on the left wing as well as a decent backup for the position of a striker.
Having said that, Arsenal must not waste any time in signing a new goal scorer when the transfer window opens in January.
Wenger is not renowned for spending much in the winter window but he will have to do it if Arsenal are to end that long trophy drought.

Why Kaiser's Return is Significant for Arsenal

Nice article but the last paragraph seems to be drawing a definite conclusion on Arsenal not winning a trophy if a new striker is not signed in January. I strongly disagree with you. Though I strongly welcome the idea of Wenger getting us an average 20 goal per season striker, it does not mean we cant win the league with our current squad.
