Fulham’s Sascha Riether has been charged by FA for his stamp on Manchester United teenager Adnan Januzaj.
United defeated Fulham 3-1 in their last premier fixture and Riether stamped on the youngster in frustration.
The player has took to twitter to apologize his team mates, fans, club and most importantly, the 18 year old, Adnan Junuzaj.
Riether tweeted.
“I want to say I am sorry to Adnan Januzai. It was very unlike me and I can only say that frustration got the better of me.”
“I also want to apologise to my teammates, fans and everyone at the Club, for the ban incurred following Saturday’s match”
“I will accept the consequences of my actions, and hope to put it behind me when I return.”
“I want the fans to know that I will be working hard to stay fit and will be ready to continue fighting for the Club as soon as I am able.SR”
His violent conduct was never going to be ignored and he will suffer whatever punishment is given.
Nevertheless, the 30 year old has done the right thing by saying sorry to everyone attached and promises to work hard and not repeat such actions in future. We hope the same.
