Mikel Should Start Every Game for Chelsea

One player that has suffered undeserved criticism for Chelsea lately is Jon Obi Mikel. Fans are divided on the subject.
Some believe that he is useless, not a quality defensive midfielder, while others think that he is the one Chelsea badly need to hold things together in the midfield.
Well after his performances this season, the conclusion is that Mikel should start every game for Chelsea.
Jose Mourinho has mainly used 4-2-3-1 formation in which he has preferred the likes of Ramires and Lampard to play in central midfield.
However, many a times we have seen that the pair has been shaky, especially Frank Lampard has surely not been able to deal with quality pressing defenses and had very low influence.
Whereas Mikel has impressed majority of the times he has been handed the chance.
In the last game against West Ham United. Mourinho utilized one of his own classic formations 4-3-3 and the Nigerian was brilliant in holding things together as a DM to help the attackers focus on their tasks.
Mourinho and Lampard praised the 26 year old after his performance.
There is no denying the fact that Mikel deserves regular run of games and it will come as no surprise if he starts again tonight in the Champions League.
