The merseyside derby never disappoints the football fans it is going to be more intriguing this season with both teams flying high.
Liverpool sit in second place with 23 points and Everton are sixth but only 3 points behind their neighbors.
For the past two seasons, the Toffees have finished above Reds in the premier league, something that the Anfield side will like to change this season.
With new manager, Roberto Martinez in charge, Everton are playing attractive football and are hard to beat, especially at home.
They have only lost one league game this season that was against Manchester City at the Etihad stadium.
Martinez is ready to face the exciting tie with Liverpool and told club’s official site.
“You can tell it’s got a special feel about it and especially now that both teams are in very good positions after strong starts to the season,”
“So, it’s going to be a good fixture, an important fixture. But, I think more importantly, a real football celebration of how well the two teams have started so far.”
“It’s an exciting fixture in the football calendar, never mind just in Liverpool. So, there’s been a lot of talk, a lot of stories mentioned around the derbies, so I’m really, really looking forward to seeing Goodison in such an exciting fixture.”
Last season at Goodison, Liverpool ripped Everton apart in the opening stages with star striker Luis Suarez netting twice.
However, David Moyes’s men bounced back in style to draw level. Reds could have had a winner but Suarez was denied hat-trick by the linesman.
With both teams in fantastic form, it is hard to predict who will win.
