Instead, their arch rivals, Manchester City moved into the top 4 after annihilating Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad Stadium
Manchester United went into half time with a 2-1 lead over the home side but they were never comfortable as Cardiff kept on piling pressure.
In the end they were rewarded with a deserved goal to share points. Next in the premier league, Devils have to visit White Hart Lane to face a low on confidence Spurs side.
