Liverpool fans are already dreaming of returning to the Champions league next season as the team has started the season brilliantly.
Reds sit second in the Barclays premier league with only 2 points behind the in-form gunners.
Brendan Rodgers’s men suffered a defeat at the hands of Arsenal but bounced back in style to dismantle Fulham at Anfield.
For Liverpool to finish the year on a high, next 4 fixtures are highly significant. Here are the next four Liverpool league games.
- Everton (Away)
- Hull (Away)
- Norwich (Home)
- West Ham (Home)
All are winnable games and the merseysiders must win maximum points. Winning all of them can perhaps put them on top of the league and strengthen their objective of Champions league qualification.
Dropping points in these fixtures will not help as Reds have a difficult schedule in the second half of December. The next 4 fixtures after the above given games are as follows.
- Tottenham (Away)
- Cardiff (Home)
- Manchester City (Away)
- Chelsea (Away)
Liverpool could only earn 2 points from a possible 9 in the corresponding fixtures last season (Cardiff were not there).
Spurs have already lost two league games at White Hart Lane and are having troubles finding the net so Reds may fancy themselves. The main concern will be to face Manchester City and Chelsea away in just three days.
Also, both City and Chelsea have fantastic record at home this season.
Liverpool have up till now proved the doubters wrong and largely improved on results as compared to last season. Can they finish the year on a high, we shall see but it is really significant if they are to end the season in top 4 or higher.
