Liverpool Captain heaps Praise on Fernando Torres Again & Fears…

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard formed perhaps one of the best attacking partnerships with Fernando Torres when the Spaniard was at Anfield.
El Nino however departed for Chelsea in the winter of 2011 to break Gerrard’s and the supporters’ hearts.
Torres was one of the best strikers in the world with Liverpool and after leaving Reds, his form has only gone downwards.
Gerrard was devastated when Torres left but he always had words of praise for the striker as the former Liverpool No. 9 was a world class talent at Anfield.
Stevie now feels the same about Luis Suarez and does not want Liverpool to lose another top quality star mainly because of under performing. Gerrard claimed:

“Luis is in good form. The team are playing well, so January won’t be a problem.”
“But come the summer, I think depending how Liverpool have done will determine what goes through Luis’ mind.”

Torres left for Champions league football and Liverpool have not yet qualified for CL since 2008-2009 season.
They have started really well this season but if they fail to finish in top 4 again. Luis Suarez is all but gone and you cannot blame him.
Gerrard once again heaps praise on Fernando Torres but claimed that Luis Suarez is the best player he has played with.

“The only player who comes close to producing what Luis has done in a red shirt is Fernando Torres — but Luis just pips him.”

Suarez remains the key for Liverpool to finish in top 4. Reds should sign more quality players in January, they weak in central midfield department.
Moreover, consistency will be the main factor to qualify for the Champions League. Can they do it, only time will tell.
