Think it is about time that Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti zips himself up and gets over the fact that he sold one of the best players in Mesut Ozil.
Once again, the Italian has come up with a new reason to why Ozil had to leave Real Madrid. Previously he stated that Ozil left because he was afraid of competition with Los Blancos.
Now, Ancelotti says that it was his own decision to sell Ozil and he also revealed the reason which is an absolute excuse without a doubt. He claimed:
“When we bought Gareth Bale it was difficult to find space for him (Ozil), and he needs to play.”
Seriously, saying that Bale was the reason is an utter joke. Bale and Ozil play in totally different positions. Former Spurs man plays in out wide positions while the German star plays as a central attacking midfielder usually behind the striker.
If there was one player whose starting place was always going to be in trouble because of Bale was Angel Di Maria and well now he rarely starts as Bale is clicking together with Ronaldo.
If, Ancelotti had named Isco, that might have made more sense as he started off in brilliant fashion as a CAM. Therefore, Carlo really needs to stop making excuses about Arsenal star.
Other than that the former Rossoneri boss praised Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and claimed that he is a manager who will always do well.
“Mourinho will always do well, but they’ve changed a lot of players so it’s not easy.”
Mourinho has had some troubles but is still doing well as Chelsea is joint second in the league for now.
