Arsenal vs Liverpool – Three Key Battles

Arsenal sit on top of the premier league with 22 points and Liverpool are joint second with 20. The clash cannot be more intriguing.
Gunners have been brilliant all round but lately have lost 2 of their last 3 games. Liverpool on the other hand have won 2 and drawn 1 in theirs.
Here are the three key battles that may decide the outcome of the game between Gunners and Reds.
Arsenal’s Defense vs SAS
Suarez, the man Arsenal tried to sign all summer long is the most dangerous player their defense has to deal with tomorrow. Since returning from ban, Luis has netted 6 goals in 4 games and has been part of almost every attacking move for the merseysiders.
If that was not enough, Daniel Sturridge currently tops the goal scoring chart for Liverpool and has scored in every game for them this season except the one when they lost to Southampton.
Arsenal’s defense has been in good form especially the partnership of Mertesacker and Koscielny is proving fruitful. Can they stop SAS, the best attacking duo in the league, only time will tell.
Ozil vs Lucas
Gunners record signing Ozil has been brilliant since joining Arsenal but it has been observed lately that teams have troubled Gunners if they have kept the former Madrid man quiet. The most recent examples are Dortmund and Palace.
Lucas and Henderson were fantastic against West Brom but the Brazilian is mainly responsible for performing defensive duties and breaking play. He will have to be on his toes to stop Ozil.
Szczesny vs Mignolet
Both Arsenal and Liverpool have their goal keepers in top form. Szczesny arguably helped Arsenal earn all three points in the last league game against Palace being the man of the match.
Mignolet has been fantastic in replacing Reina since his arrival in summer from Sunderland. Their form may as well prove to be the difference in the game.
