Arsenal's Possible Starting XI vs Southampton & Prediction

Arsenal's Possible Starting XI vs Southampton & PredictionManchester United ended Arsenal’s fantastic run in the premier league as the Red Devils defeated gunners 1-0 at Old Trafford.
The loss meant that Arsenal’s lead at the top was cut down to only 2 points with Liverpool closing the gap and United are very much in the title race as well.
Arsene Wenger’s men will look to bounce back against another in-form team Southampton who are currently 3rd in the league, 3 points behind North Londoners.
With the best defensive record in the league thus far, Southampton cannot be taken easily even though Arsenal will be playing at the Emirates.
Saints have already defeated Liverpool at Anfield and earned a hard fought draw at Old Trafford.
As far as Arsenal’s injury news is concerned, first choice winger Theo Walcott is expected to return for the game against Southampton after a long injury spell.
However, the England international may as well start the game from the bench and not directly in the starting 11.
Here is Arsenal’s possible starting XI vs Southampton.

  1. Rastus Arum says:

I think we can beat Southampton. If we neutralize their seemingly strong midfield, idon’t think Luke Shaw and Co can withstand the wizardry of our passing game.
    Gunner by Birth

    • Peter says:

Not that u think me I know we will beat them sure like champions of this year & if they relax gave them chance to score first they will take the thre e so important points thus forget the trophy

  2. Conaine says:

We need to create a hostile atmosphere at our home grounds and stop being a library.

  3. Sonny says:

this is a must win for the gunner, I very well agree with the line up, leaving the bench much strong with the likes of Flamini, walkot, Rosiscky, Gnabry, Monreal, Jankisen, etc.. go gunners go

    • Ace says:

How can Arsenal not play Rosicky he is such a cunning and clever player Ramsey is not that effective on the wing. Rosicky also likes running at the defence which causes many teams problems and creates spaces for the rest to exploit take Wilshere out and put Ramsey in he’s place

  4. Shola Isaac Atokulu says:

Arsenal will win the match with 2-1,no matter how strong there midfield because Arsenal have strong midfielders as well.90 minutes will decide.gunners till eternity.

  5. TimsGr8 says:

Saints are never problem to Arsenal, they r in gr8 run but our men has what it take to start redirecting them to where they belong. They’ve been amazing thus far with a threatening formidability across the whole pack, Arsenal on the other hand is a team that’ve waken on the eve of series of buildings nd recessions and have as a result found their feet and have been standing the test of true champions thus far. Strengthwise, we’ve been steely strong, creativewise, we’ve been wizards, speed has finally returned and I see us tumping these guys with 4-1 win

  6. Hexlazo Dashing Hexampama says:

Sony do you follow and support Arsenal?because if you were then you wouldnt be saying Flamini will be on the bench, because Flamini is suspended for this match..he reached his maximun of yellow cards after the one he got in the Man U match

  7. Wags says:

Nobody gave us a chance to pick anything up at Liverpool or Man U. We got 4 points. One comment. “Let’s put them back where they belong”. You are obviously not well read. The top is where we are going to be so get used to seeing us there. Maybe not this season but with our chairman’s vision. Look where we have come !! Now 3rd in PL !!! Maybe we will be buying our own players back !! You could even set up your own academy if you like ?? Consider making some decent English players like us !!

  8. jjj says:

I dont think Cazorla will start as he has had two games in Africa along with Monreal. So i see Rosicky coming in and Flamini in the middle with Arteta. Ozil and Giroud, Along with Gibbs, Sagna, Kos and Mertesacker. Walcott, Cazorla, Wilshere, Verm, Monreal, Viviano, Jenkinson on the bench.
The match will be tight if we score early i can only see one result a win, but an early goal for saints and a long afternoon ahead.

  9. Ajmi10Gooner says:

Wheres Walcott! He returned from injury, he should start ahead of Ramsey, we need pace. Pace that we missed a lot. Or.on the other hand Flamini and Wilshere together. What makes Wilshere special is that he starts counter attacks very very well. Flamino just kicks evry1 who tries to threat our defense. COYG

  10. Tesfaye says:

Plz don’t weigh siants this much. Gooners will clinch them at least 2-0.

  11. jamescadar says:

Guys let’s not take anyÞhing away form d saints, this season, they hv shocked some of d big names so we ought to be careful in handleing them ok? Not withstanding, if we can break their midfield defence n score 1st, d rest į̸̸̨Ƨ̷ history.

  12. Rayj says:

We gunners have many legs dat rested n this makes me think the sky is the limit. Besides, gunners ‘ve stayed 4 long minus any silver wear which makes us greedy 4 the 3 points. A hard fight but win 4 gunners 2 remain on top n silence doubters.

  13. NUREDIN says:

    hey u guys,r u listening?Flamini is just suspended.dont mention his name again.

    • Boniface says:

Hi guyz flamini is suspended so leave him out of this.however, we have Rambo fit so he’ll comand the flow as Arteta sits deep sant ar’nt going to get any point it will be 3-1 gdnit guyz.

  14. Peter says:

What I want to see is too much pass retaining the ball instead make way trough with faster more close from the wings then put it on the net but if you start running with the ball reach at near the goal and nobody to score then start looking how to score thus wasting energy & giving them time to defend thenwe will consider it draw or loose
