Liverpool Player Ratings vs Newcastle United

Liverpool Player Ratings vs Newcastle UnitedHaving thrashed Newcastle last time at St James’ park, Liverpool could only muster up a draw against Alan Pardew’s men.
Glen Johnson returned from injury but was unable to provide anything of note in the attack and was shaky in defense as well.
Newcastle drew first blood thanks to a wonder strike by Cabaye but all of Newcastle’s hard work was undone when Mbiwa was sent off for bringing Suarez down in the penalty box.
Steven Gerrard stepped up and scored his 100th premier league goal, 20th from the penalty spot to achieve milestone.
Reds have been unable to play brilliantly in the second halves this season and they really should have done better against 10 men. However, once again their poor defending from set piece cost them.
Suarez was arguably Liverpool’s best player and caused havoc all game. He won the first penalty and set up the second goal for Sturridge. With 17 odd minutes remaining, Reds continuously piled pressure on home side’s defense but could not score.
Here are the player ratings of Liverpool stars.

Sakho got a 6?? He moved out of the way on the free kick to allow second goal. That is unforgivable. Give him a 3.
Toure wasn’t that bad – deserved more. Hendo is that bad.

Nah lads, look again. Cissoko was just taken out by Toure’s nick on the ball as it came in. The last second movement in the flight of it makes Cissoko look like he’s had a Jose brain-blert. There was fuck all he could do about it. I disagree with Moses being given 6.5 as well, the man is a fuckin liability in the #10 role and, so far, he’s shown himself as a Downing-esque wide man too. Alberto should be given the #10 role until Phillipe gets fit and tell Moses to get fit and play wide left or not at all. We’d be dumb-fucks to keep Moses after Jan ’14.
