Manchester United were keen to sign a top quality left back in the summer transfer window.
Players such as the likes of Fabio Coentrao and Leighton Baines are one of the best left backs in the world but Moyes failed to lure any.
On the other hand, Red Devils senior left back Patrice Evra has hinted that he wants out of the club when his contract expires at the end of season.
Asked about his future at Manchester United and whether he is worried about his expiring contract, the French international claimed:
“No, not at all”
“It is a personal thing. It is not that Manchester United do not want me to sign a new contract.”
“Manchester United would like me to finish my career there, but this is something personal.”
In my opinion, if Evra wants out, then Man United must get rid of him immediately.
In any case, we are going to sign a top quality left back in the winter transfer window. Moyes should make a serious push for England’s best defender Leighton Baines if United want to get back to where they belong.
In 10 appearances, Evra has been average to say the least and is one of the main reasons behind United’s shambolic defense this season. The veteran is losing his pace and strength with growing age and a younger option is required.
Manchester United fans will not want any excuses this time around from Moyes. A quality left back will surely cost more than 20 million pounds and the Devils must splash the cash in winter lure one.

But to put all the blame of man utd’s poor start on evra is totally wrong and disrespectfully of his contributions. We have strikes in the team who are performing below par and nothing is said about them. We have a midfield that has failed to work as a coherent team but still one point fingers on evra. Lets appreciate what others have done and are doing for the team.
Please Please do not buy Baines he will only be productive for just two years and he will be over 30 then.We need a younger option just like we have the likes of Rafael,smalling,Jones,Evans.
And do not get me wrong for us to have a very strong team we need the lkes of Vidic,Ferdnand,Giggs to be sorted weather by selling them or give them other roles.

Evra has been a very faithful United servant and is obviously not as sharp as he used to be although his attacking contribution is still top drawer stuff. What about the collapse of Rio against WBA ?
