Chelsea want Prolific Striker but Have to pay Over €41m

Chelsea were once again brilliant in the Champions league. After defeating Bucharest 4-0 on Match Day 2, Blues thrashed German side Schalke 3-0 last night.
Since the return of Jose Mourinho, the manager had faced certain problems because of inconsistent strikers. However now, all of them have started performing well at once.
Fernando Torres was brilliant before injury and scored two goals last night in his first start after returning. Eto’o scored his first goal for the club at the weekend against Cardiff. Moreover, Ba was handed a rare start two weeks back , he provided the assist for Oscar’s opener and was lively.
Not only that, loaned Lukaku is also playing brilliantly with Everton.
Even then, the reports suggest that Chelsea want another prolific striker in January, Diego Costa, but will have to pay over €41m to have any chance of luring him.
Costa is the leading scorer in La Liga and is in the form of his life. He has replaced Radamel Falcao in no time and it is mainly because of him that Atletico are flying high in league and Europe. He scored a wonder solo goal in the Champions League last night.
Do Chelsea really need to spend that much money with so many strikers already at disposal. Understandable that Costa is better than all of them at the moment.
Even if they seriously want him, Atletico will be reluctant to sell him mid season because he is pivotal to their success and you do not find quality replacements easily in January. Moreover, Costa will be cuptied in the Champions League as well.
If Abramovich wants him, he may as well splash the cash. anyways, whether Chelsea will be able to lure him in January, we shall see but it is highly unlikely
