Liverpool supporters will be delighted to know that their Brazilian Meastro Phil Coutinho will return from injury to face vital tie against Arsenal.
League leaders Arsenal have only lost two games this season, both at the Emirates Stadium. Still, Reds have only defeated gunners at the Emirates once, that was under Kenny Dalglish.
Moses has done a decent job in Phil’s absence but still he was no way near the class of Brazilian.
Coutinho has been influential for the merseysiders since joining the club last January and Reds have surely missed the Samba star.
Rodgers took time to answer press at Melwood today and perhaps confirmed that the playmaker will return vs Arsenal. He claimed:
“He’s still struggling with his shoulder. He’s been working with us these last few days, but his touch on the ball and his skill is exceptional.”
“You do miss quality and it will be great to have him back next week.”
Coutinho is training with the squad but will miss the game against West Brom on Saturday.
However, he will be fit and ready to face Arsenal. Whether or not Rodgers will play him directly in the starting lineup against gunners, we shall see but it is a fantastic news for the Reds.
