Arsenal & Liverpool Still Monitoring £30m Star – May Move in January?

Arsenal and Liverpool have started the season in brilliant fashion as both clubs are joint top of the English premier league.
Before the start of the season, no one predicted that these two clubs can be serious title contenders but after fantastic opening, things have changed.
However, for both clubs to maintain consistency, they surely need more reinforcements in the winter transfer window.
Daily Mail suggests that Arsenal and Liverpool are still monitoring £30m Swansea Star Michu.
As far as Liverpool are concerned, they arguably have the best attacking pair upfront, Suarez and Sturridge are nightmare for defenders.
Rodgers surely does not need to spend that heavy amount to lure Michu when those two are firing and they also have Aspas and lone striker formation as backup.
However, Gunners only have one fit top striker in Giroud. If he gets injured, Arsenal may as well have to suffer big time and they need a quality player who can partner or replace Giroud.
Michu completely fits the bill as he has the ability of playing as an out and out striker, as he did last season and supporting as well (this season).
Therefore it is highly likely that it is Arsenal who will move for a striker in January and it may as well be for Michu. They were strongly linked with him in summer as well.
Arsenal have funds but will Wenger splash the cash on Swansea star, we shall see.
