According to reports, Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in luring German star Lars Bender who currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen.
Daily Mail suggests that gunners are ready to offer 20 million pounds (€24m) to hire the services of Kaiser but Manchester United can pounce to sign him and reinforce their midfield as well.
However, Arsenal are favorites to beat Manchester United in luring the talented midfielder for many reasons.
It is not that Manchester United have become small team overnight, but surely for now David Moyes has turned them from Champions to a loser side.
Many world class players rejected to join United and the credit for that mainly goes to David Moyes. In the end he had to sign one of his own in Fellaini. Even, Mesut Ozil opted to sign for Arsenal as Wenger was more convincing.
He has surely worsened the situation as far as attracting players are concerned because United are currently stumbling in the bottom half of the table.
Adding to that, Arsenal have been in blistering form, already 8 points clear of Manchester United, sit at the top of the table with 5 wins in a row.
It is highly likely that when the January transfer window arrives, Arsenal will still be in much much better position than Manchester United.
Nevertheless, Leverkusen are in the champions league and if they do qualify for the knockout rounds then Bender will probably want to stay. However, if he is available, then Arsenal should be the ones to get him ahead of Manchester United.

I still believe that Man u are in transition period. It is still too early to blame Moyes. It is again too early to praise Arsenal after only 6 games! Remain calm and we will see.
transitions period the the 11 man from last season + Fellaini huh? ok.. let we say that Arsenal also in transition period with 11 player from last season + ex player + Ozil… lol!!! Loser always give a thousand reasons but the winner only have i answer.
Motes is to blame for united predicament, he and ed are the ones that went aft players that were not interested in moving to united. He let al of the coachn staff go,ppl that knew the players. They knew wot made the players tick, the games best suited to the players. United not being Gud enuf to win the champs league is ur fault moyes. U were supposed to sign the stars that u require to win the champs league. In the jan windo pls moyes first sign us a star manager first then u can crawl back into the press box n blame everyone else bt ur self. For now moyes forget the champs league, get us into the top four then we can think about the champs league. Pls moyrs sign us a manager that can attract players. U cudn’t attract players wen the team hadn’t played a game, how wud you attract players wen ur fighting relegation. By the way forget signin new strikers, strengthen the defense and midfield while you stil at united.
I want to tell those saying that Arsenal shouldnot praise them selves b’se of this good start to know that Arsenal lost only one match in the last 20 matches, that means it has been superb
Y blame moyes wen he z playn a team he inherited 4rm sum1,he nids 2 build up his team by signin more players lyk other new managers are doin,Wenger z bein succesful bcos dat has bin his team 4 yrz nd he knws hw to play dem
