Tottenham Favorites to Land another Top Spanish Striker

Tottenham Favorites to Land another Top Spanish Striker? Arsenal and Spurs are level in the premier league and it looks likely that the battle between them will go right down to the wire again. For now, they are both interested in signing a quality striker in January.
Spurs have done brilliant business in the latest transfer window to reinforce the positions they really needed to compete at the highest level.
Having signed top class players, the North Londoners want to sign more quality players in the next window.
One position that Spurs badly needed to fill was that of a quality goal scorer. In the end, Villas Boas signed Valencia’s star man Roberto Soldado.
The Spanish international still needs to hit top gear.
Now, Spurs are linked with another top Spanish striker and perhaps can be considered favorites to land him.
The player in discussion is Juventus’s striker Fernando Llorente. The 28 year old Spaniard signed for Old Lady from Athletic Bilbao but is struggling to find form and starting place with the Italian champions.
Vucinic and new signing Carlos Tevez are shining for the Bianconeri and Llorente is getting frustrated as in 3 games he has only played a single minute as a substitute.
If such a scenario continues then there are massive chances that former Bilbao star will fail to make the World Cup squad for Brazil. He was part of the World Cup winning Spain’s squad in 2010.
Tottenham are reportedly going to make an early move for Llorente as clubs other than Arsenal will also be interested if he is willing to leave Juve.
Arsenal though may have him cup-tied for the Champions League and will look to sign an alternative. Adding to that, reports suggest that their main priority is signing Sami Khedira from Real Madrid.

I’d like to see Spurs get him,he’d be reasonably priced I hope as Juve got him on a free transfer. There’s talk of Spurs being interested in Shaarawy but he’s unproven yet, although he does look very promising, the asking price could be 20-25mill. I’d hang on for now.
