Sturridge Can Break Fernando Torres’s Records

Sturridge Can Break Fernando Torres’s RecordsLiverpool star man Daniel Sturridge has started the new season the way he ended last. After signing for Reds in January from Chelsea, Sturridge quickly became fan favorite.
In 14 league games last season, Sturridge banged 10 goals, even more goals than Fernando Torres scored in the entire league campaign of last season for Chelsea.
However, when Torres was at Liverpool, he was scoring for fun too. El Nino was arguably one of the best strikers in the world during his time at Anfield. The demise started after he left for the Blues.
Torres still holds the record of scoring the fastest 50 goals for the Reds, both overall and in the league as well.
The former number 9 completed his half century in just 84 games for the reds. While in the league, he only took 72 games to reach that milestone.
Sturridge has scored 4 in 4 league games and 6 in 5 games in all competitions for the merseysiders this season.
Although, it may be too early to discuss that he can break Torres’s records as he is still far from 50 having scored 17 goals in 21 games in total for Liverpool and 14 goals in 18 league games, but his form is unbelievable.
Even injuries have not stopped him as he has always come back roaring.
Records are made to be broken and the kind of form Sturridge is in, he can surely break Fernando Torres’s records for Liverpool.
