Moyes Trying his Best to Bridge the Gap with RooneyArsenal and Chelsea still want Wayne Rooney according to reports but Moyes is already looking to fix things between him and Roo so that the player does not depart United.
David Moyes managed his first ever Champions League game of the career against tricky Bayer Leverkusen side.
Red Devils easily strolled past the Germans securing 4-2 victory on the opening day of the competition.
United’s star player was once again none other than Wayne Rooney, who is giving his all for United despite having problems with new manager.
David Moyes claimed that he does not know whether Rooney is happy or not but surely the manager is happy as the England international is in top form and producing brilliant performances.
Moyes is trying his best to bridge the gap between him and Wayne Rooney. He claimed:

“I knew if you are going to win the Champions League you have to have several world-class players and Wayne comes into that category”

Meanwhile, Rooney is not concerned about anything else, he might have wanted to leave during the summer transfer window but is keeping his head down and performing his job well for the Old Trafford side.
Surely, keeping Rooney was the best piece of business United did this summer and he is vital to United’s chances of retaining their premier league title and going far in the Champions league.
