The Red Devils are back to winning ways after defeating Crystal Palace at Old Trafford. Moyes finally won his first home game for the new club.
Having lost out on numerous transfer targets in the summer transfer window, United are looking to move quickly in the winter transfer window to secure deals early.
Latest reports suggest that Manchester United are determined to beat Arsenal and Chelsea for £12m Southampton star Luke Shaw.
The 18 year old boy is highly rated left back and the English champions consider him as a long term replacement for Patrice Evra.
David Moyes was also keen on signing his Evertonian left back Baines in the summer window but could only land Marouane Fellaini.
The interest in Shaw may mean that United may not look to sign Baines in winter who will turn 29 in December.
Shaw has featured in 2 premier league games so far and has been impressive, solid at the back and provided an assist as well.
Gunners and blues are also reportedly interested in hiring the services of the young left back
However, Manchester United have tracked and scouted him a few times over the past year and are looking to strike a deal early on in the winter transfer window with Southampton.

Moyes is getting delusional now and precariously too close to tipping over the hill. Shaw? What then happens to Buttner?!?? #Nuts
Jose must pay the price for loaning the only striker(lukaku) who with time replace drogba hole or shirt and not buying jackson martinez or falcao or hulk
Jose mourinho must know that the only way chelsea can come back to winning club is to convert willians as top 9, and buld him to be a perfect striker
Morinyo mistrust certain players because he thinks they can be used by former manager to undermine him the game of devide and rule players dont trust him either
Buttner isn’t a proper left back….Fabio just needs some games under his belt and an injury free season….Shaw is a very good prospect but Saints don’t need or want to sell. Its down to the player if he wants to go elsewhere. …Arsenal would be a good fit imho but if he wants to stay leave him be.
If the lad wants to win things then he must choose United !!
