Liverpool have signed more than a few players this summer to fill in important positions, mainly defense.
However, the merseysiders want to further improve the quality and depth of the squad in the winter transfer window by signing a young center midfielder.
Reports suggest that Liverpool want £15m Rising Star Will Hughes who currently plays for championship side Derby.
Manchester United have also shown their interest to sign the 18 year old England international as they still need more depth in the center midfield.
Derby boss Nigel claimed that they received deadline day bids for Hughes and major clubs are still monitoring his situation. However they will not let him leave for cheap.
“It is difficult to put a specific valuation on him – but we know what we won’t take, that is for certain.”
Will is not renowned for his goal scoring or assist providing talent. In 35 league apps last season, he could only muster up 2 goals and 2 assists. Still, the youngster is a good passer, calm on the ball and rarely loses possession.
Liverpool fans will be worried about the Price tag though, Joe Allen cost the same £15m and he has been quite average to say the least.
Reds have signed numerous quality players for prices under £10 million. Whether they will splash the cash on Hughes next winter, only time will tell.

Konoplyanka is better but I think Hughes could be a potential replacement for Gerrard.
i think we should sign him in the January window….exceptional talent…he is very good with the ball…shows maturity beyond his age…dont let manu sign…he wil blossom under our talisman gerrard..
