Liverpool to Move Again for €20m Star in JanuaryThe merseysiders have done effective business in the summer transfer window but there were few top names that they failed to lure for one reason or the other.
One of those players was Atletico Madrid star Diego Costa. Liverpool were heavily interested in signing the versatile attacker for a price of €20m.
However, after the departure of star striker Radamel Falcao, Atletico did not want to lose their second best striker as well and convinced him to stay at the club.
LiverpoolEcho reports that Reds may move again for €20m Star in Winter Transfer Window who scored 20 goals and provided 15 assists last season.
During the transfer saga surrounding Brazilian Costa, Reds also had major concerns about the future of star striker Luis Suarez. However, that settled well and Liverpool can amplify their strong start to the season when Suarez returns.
Real Madrid tried to sign him in the last few days of the transfer window but Reds rejected their offer. Los Blancos were mainly interested in signing Bale first and had little time left to deal with Suarez. Liverpool were never going to sell with no potential replacement lined up that late.
Madrid may return to sign the prolific Uruguayan in winter transfer window to further reinforce their squad before the knockout rounds of the Champions League.
For now, they only have one main star striker and that is Benzema and a player of Luis Suarez’s caliber can make them fiercer.
Liverpool are flying high and Suarez will surely be impressed. If that form continues then, one, Suarez may want to stay, two Reds will again block transfer of their best player to ensure they do qualify for Champions League at least.

He used the Liverpool interest,to get better terms at Athletico. So I say ” If he turns us down ONCE,ONCE is enough.Besides next summer we’ll get two class strikers for the Suarez money…

  3. Glenn says:

We need tall strong strikers and Juan Mata will not do. NOT A STRIKER MATA IS! Costa fits the mold! And perhaps a few attacking midfielders, Yarmolenko for starters. big n strong. Look at Bayern they are the benchmarch. YNWA

Yarmolenko is best option for the reds

  5. Ikenna says:

Yarmolenko is a good option as he seems to be a good replacement for the missed Armenian.
A striker of the mold of Lewandowski would be very good as he is strong, mobile, got skilks and offers some aerial prowess which Liveerpool lacks.

Liverpool should try and sign Yarmolenko. The is quick, with a strong left foot. He can be a top replacement for downing. BR please sign him .

For me, i think that going for another striker will be a waste of money if liverpool could be able to keep suarez. I rather we move for a proven AM of Moderic caliber who is physically stronger than philipe Coutinho so that they can be interchanged according to the tempo of the game they’re to play

Yes, liverpool actually need Costa alongside Yormelenko. If we could get these duo, hmmm– undoubtedly no club wuld be able 2 compete wit us.
