Fellaini Right Choice as Man United Never Needed Arsenal’s Ozil

Fellani Right Choice as Man United Never Needed Arsenal’s OzilFair to say that Manchester United had one of the worst summer transfer windows in years. However, Fellaini is a top player but somehow his transfer has become sort of a joke.
The Red Devils might have been interested in Ozil and failed to lure him but they never really needed the Madrid star who signed for Arsenal on deadline day for club record fee.
Ozil is one of the best goal providers in the world, a unique attacking midfielder. However, United already have two quality players for that position.
One, star player Rooney, who they held onto against all odds and the other Shinji Kagawa who is a top quality attacking mid player but never really used by Moyes which is baffling.
All summer long, David Moyes has mainly been chasing a quality center midfielder. To their disappointment, everyone snubbed them for one reason or the other. Alcantara and Fabregas are perhaps the two biggest names.
Against Liverpoo,l their need of a quality center midfielder was highlighted in the best possible manner. Liverpool were easily controlling midfield battle in the first half without anyone breaking play.
On the other hand, United were giving the ball away cheaply from center midfield. Carrick was not at his best and Cleverly was poor to say the least.
Fellaini is someone who can provide variety of services to United. Able to pass the ball well, break play and helps in attack as well. Moyes should have signed him very early in the market and all would have praised that as a brilliant coup.
Instead, with little time left, the Ander Herrera transfer saga linked along with Fellaini’s buyout clause took a lot of gloss from this deal. Nevertheless, United losing out on Ozil is by no means a disappointment. In the end, they made the right choice to sign Fellaini.

Man u has already a good squad just needed another squad playmaker still cant understand what kagawas’ role should be. @bench?

  2. Kagawa has’nt been used yet this season because he was slightly behind on preseason fitness ,although he was ready for the Liverpool game but why he was’nt used is anyone’s guess obviously David Moyes got his tactics wrong, what he needs to be doing now is finding a way to utilise both Rooney and Kagawa in the same line up. Kagawa is very effective for Japan when played on the left with a licence to cut inside if he was played here with Rooney in his favoured No 10 role they could interchange during the game, this would keep both players happy and solve United’s creative frailties in midfield,Mesut Ozil would have been used in these positions so you are right missing out on him is not as devastating as the press would have us think !!
