Eriksen, Lamela & Holtby Show Why Spurs don’t Miss Bale

Eriksen, Lamela & Holtby Show Why Spurs don’t Miss BaleReal Madrid may have lured premier league and Tottenham’s best player but in return Spurs have added stars that have made them even stronger.
Spurs continued their impressive form and easily defeated Tromso in Europa League at White Hart Lane 3-0 yesterday.
Although, 30 year old Defoe scored twice and showed that he has still got it but the architects were none other than the new boys. Eriksen, Lamela and Holtby showed why Spurs don’t Miss Bale.
Despite not getting many chances in this year’s premier league, Holtby (signed in Janaury) proved his quality last night. The former Schalke star was playing right behind Defoe and was involved in both goals scored by the England international.
Lamela, who lately arrived from Roma is quickly adjusting to Villas-Boas’s style of play. His pace, trickery and energy were constant threat for the opposition. The Argentine provided a classic ball for Defoe’s second goal.
Lastly, there is Eriksen, who is showing the football world why he is so special. It is baffling that at such cheap price, not many top clubs were interested in signing this Danish star.
The former Ajax playmaker was brilliant on his debut for Spurs and adding to that last night he scored his first goal for the new club and that too in some style.
From 25 odd yards out, Eriksen only needed a yard of space to bang the ball in the net.
With such quality squad at disposal, Villas-Boas will have selection dilemma, a good one though. Spurs have the talent, they only need consistency to achieve great things this season.
