Can Liverpool Finally Open Flood Gates to Overtake Spurs

Can Liverpool Finally Open Flood Gates to Overtake SpursLiverpool were scoring for fun in the closing stages of last season. The merseysiders scored no less than 10 goals in their last 4 fixtures and only conceded one.
However, this season, in 5 premier league fixtures, Liverpool have only been able to score 5 goals, 4 thanks to prolific Daniel Sturridge.
After four back to back wins, Reds have not won one in the last three (2 defeats, 1 draw). A game against struggling Sunderland provides them a perfect opportunity to bounce back.
A win will surely do, but Reds need to fix their defense and must get their scoring touch back again if they are to compete at the very top this season as the competition for top four places is tougher than ever.
Can Liverpool finally open the flood gates against Sunderland?
Luis Suarez will return to the premier league after completing his hefty ban. He was not at his best against United in the Capital One Cup and will look to score against the Black Cats.
A win today will mean Liverpool will go level on points with Tottenham Hotspur. If they win by 3 goals margin, Reds will overtake Spurs on goal difference, (2 goals margin will do as well, as Spurs have scored 6 goals and Liverpool will then have more).
Liverpool have enough quality to unsettle Sunderland and will hope that another defensive error will not cost them again.
