Arsenal football club are still in profit even after splashing a club record fee to land German international Mesut Ozil to Emirates.
Having bolstered their attacking midfield, gunners still need reinforcements for the position of striker and must reinforce their defense as well.
Numerous defenders were linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer transfer window but Wenger preferred the signing of a playmaker in Ozil and the Kaiser is already proving his worth.
Metro suggests that Arsenal are eyeing a move for goal scoring center back, Fabian Schar who plays for Basel.
The 21 year old Swiss international is a bright prospect, can provide a quality cover and increase London side’s depth in defense as well.
Not only is he a solid defender but Schar also benefits from set piece situations and regularly adds goals for his side.
Last season, he scored 11 goals in all competitions.
Moreover, this season in 13 appearances, Fabian Schar has scored 4 goals which is a brilliant stat for a center back.
Signing him will not be that simple for Arsenal as Serie A champions Juventus are also reportedly interested in luring the talented youngster.
Whether or not Gunners will be able to sign him in January, we shall see.

I don’t really see this guy being a game changer for Arsenal. Much like Chiriches isn’t going to significantly help Spurs.
