Arsenal have not yet given up on signing Luis Suarez while Liverpool stick to their stance of holding on to star man. For now, there is neither any concrete interest from abroad nor gunners have come close to Liverpool’s asking price for Suarez still the reds are considering certain alternate options if Suarez does depart.
Their primary alternate is Atletico Madrid’s Deigo Costa. Reports suggest that Liverpool are very interested in Brazilian and have even submitted an offer of 22 million pounds to sign the 24 year old from La Liga side.
The question is, Why are Liverpool very interested in this Brazilian starlet?
Diego Costa returned to Atletico last summer after a successful loan spell at Rayo Vallecano where he netted 9 times in 16 league appearances. He continued his brilliant form for Diego Simeone side and was their star player in Copa Del Rey winning campaign.
Costa scored 8 goals in 8 Copa Del Rey games including a sublime goal in the final against rivals Real Madrid where he blazed past two defenders and cancelled Ronaldo’s opener.
Luis Suarez is arguably one of the best players in the world right now. If Liverpool do lose Uruguayan, it is highly unlikely that without Champions League football they can replace him with an equally brilliant player.
However, Liverpool should prefer someone with somewhat similar style of play. Diego Costa has more than a few similarities and has all the traits to come good for the Reds.
Like Suarez, Costa is not only a goal getter but a goal creator as well. Last season he scored 20 goals for Atletico, only behind the ever prolific Radamel Falcao who netted 34 times. Adding to that the Brazilian also provided 15 assists as well.
He is faster than Suarez with the ability to run past defenders with his pace and good dribbler, a natural Brazilian trait. Mentioning again, it will be a crime to say that he is better than Suarez and keeping Luis is better than any other option despite his obvious discontent and the comments made by former LFC legends to let an unhappy player leave.
Liverpool already have Sturridge, Suarez and Aspas who can play as lone striker upfront. On the other hand they have more than few stars that can play out wide. Therefore, it is likely that Diego Costa will only arrive if Suarez leaves but well, I might be wrong.

Coz liverpool preparin’ to sell suarez 4 arsenal.
Are you crazy guys!! Who is the so called professor to spend above $20 millions for one player? Instead of buying kids in cheap price and sell them expensive. Wenger will not buy any star player not only this summer but also throughout his life.
I like this player.suarez can go where ever he wants to go.always suarez, what a headache
