Arsenal have reportedly bid for UAE international Abdulrahman and Wenger is confident of signing star against all odds by beating competition from the likes of Barcelona and Dortmund.
The 21 year old was expected to come over for a few days trial in London. Omar is widely regarded as the best young star in the middle east. Arsenal are still the closes to signing him but Al Ain are making things harder for the English premier league side.
The Deputy chairman of Al Ain club stated that Omar has a lot of offers from European clubs and it all depends on the player to decide which move is perfect for him.
Rashid bin Mubarak Al Hajri claimed:
“We’ve also had offers from Spanish teams, and other teams also, but the player will decide ultimately. We got a lot of offers for Omar. If he finds the right environment, then we will be very supportive.
“It’s a package that will have to be right, where he can improve his football. I’ll leave that for Omar – that’s for him to decide.”
The club has reportedly not allowed the player to go for the trial that was scheduled for today as they hope to keep the star.
Schalke, Valencia and European giants like Barcelona and Champions league runners up Borussia Dortmund are also interested in Omar who was shining star during last year’s Olympics.
Despite all the interest, Arsenal are still confident (Mirror) of sealing a deal against all odds as they have been working effectively to sign him on a permanent. However they do want to have a trial first to test him.
