Liverpool Can Lure Swiss Sensation

Former Basel star moved to the German club for a price of 11.6 million Euros last year, however due to the presence of stars like Arjen Robben, Frank Ribery and co, Shaqiri has not been able to get first team football for the Champions League winners.
In their title winning campaing, Shaqiri featured in 26 league games for the Germans but could only start 13. Moreover, even in those games he was taken off 7 times.
Adding to that, Shaqiri played seven Champions League games for Bayern last year and started 6 on the bench.
Bayern have a new manager this time around with Pep Guardiola in charge and same is the case with new signings as well. The Champions have already signed two top class players in Mario Goetze and recently lured Barcelona star Thiago Alcantara.
Shaqiri may talk with Pep about his position but with such arrivals and star studded side, he is likely to lose out on first team football again.
Three years back, Liverpool were interested in signing this Swiss star who was reportedly available for 2 million Euros. However, Roy Hodgson ignored the talented midfielder.
Shaqiri can add to experience as well as quality at Liverpool. Moreover, the Swiss star can find regular football at Anfield, the only obstacle that remains is well known, Champions League. Will he be ready to sacrifice that, we shall have the answer soon.
