Chelsea in Pole Position for Striker who Guarantees League Title

Chelsea in Pole Position for Striker who Guarantees League TitleChelsea have been in the hunt for a top quality striker this summer but are yet to sign one. The Blues were close to capturing Napoli’s star forward Edinson Cavani but it looks likely that the Uruguayan will depart Serie A to join French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
Now, reports suggest that the arrival of Cavani will mean PSG’s main forward, the prolific Zlatan Ibrahimovic will leave the capital club to join premier league. Chelsea are considered to be in pole position for the striker who virtually guarantees league title as he has won the league with every side he has played for.
Ibra has been an admirer of premier league for long and moving to England will be a massive move for him in his already glittering career. At PSG, he earns a mammoth 11 million pounds a year in wages and rich clubs like City and Chelsea can offer that.
Although, Manchester City are also looking to sign Swedish striker but recent reports suggest that the sky blues are very close to signing Fiorentina forward Jovetic and Sevilla’s Alvaro Negredo. Hence, Chelsea may as well lead the race to sign Zlatan who scored 35 goals and provided 9 assists last season.
Astonishingly, from 2001-02 to 2010-2011, Zlatan Ibrahimovic won 9 successive league titles with top clubs like Ajax, Juventus (both revoked due to Calciopoli), Internazionale, Barcelona and AC Milan.
He failed to win 2011-2011 league with Milan as Juventus went on an unbeaten season to win the Serie A crown that season. The Swedish international left for PSG last summer and has won his first Ligue 1 title in his first season. Chelsea will be hoping that signing him will guarantee them league title next season as they have not won one since 2010.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic will turn 32 in October, still he is widely regarded as one of the best and most complete strikers in the world right now, one that is a nightmare for any defender. His goal scoring stats with all the clubs are fantastic and adding to that, he supports brilliantly in buildup play and regularly provides assists as well.
Blues already have strikers like Lukaku, Ba and Torres at Stamford Bridge and may like to offload one or two to accommodate the Big Swede as Zlatan will jump straight into their starting lineup. Ibra was one of Jose’s favorite strikers at Inter and the Portuguese must move swiftly to secure his services.

Its not about winning the league alone, chelsea needs a prolific stricker to compete at the highest levels of champions league final, super cup and other league cups if they hope to win. We saw torress and ba last season . And even though lukaku is promising dont forget that most of last season he operated from the bench untill late in the season when he was given the opportunity to start games at westbrom.Almost all good soccer analyst agree that chelsea need a prolific stricker , no gambling as we did last season believing that tores would deliver 30goals.
