Having won the league title twice in three years at Manchester United, Javier Hernandez is happy to stay with the club and has no plans of leaving. The question remains, why does he really want to stay at Manchester United?
The Mexican international has always impressed when coming on to the field but the problem, he normally starts on the bench. Even though Hernandez is a top quality finisher, a bench role is all he has mainly got at the club and the way things stand, it looks likely that another substitute role will be played by Hernandez next season.
Hernandez’s agent claims that the forward is going nowhere:
“He is very happy at Manchester United. Javier has been there three years and has won the league twice. Not many can say they have achieved that”
Yes, winning trophies is brilliant but Hernandez is 25 years old, reaching the peak years of his career and has loads of talent yet he has not been able to start even 20 league games for Manchester United.
Looking at his goal scoring stats for the club, one can easily say that Hernandez will start week in week out in another top team but sadly he does not find that role for the Red Devils.
Hernandez started 15 league games for United in his first season and scored 13 goals. Started 18 in 2011-2012 season and scored 10 goals. Then last season, he could only start mere 9 league games for Alex Ferguson’s side and again scored 10 goals.
He is not more versatile than Rooney and van Persie and that is one of the main reasons he was not preferred much but Even after impressing almost every time he was on the pitch, still he could not guarantee his starting place. The shocking thing is that he still wants to stay.
It is understandable that United fans love Chicharito and he loves the club and fans as well but the scenario does not really suit him at all. Even the biggest of his United fans know that Hernandez is not going to start ahead of van Persie as the main striker next season.
As already mentioned, Hernandez is reaching the peak of his career, needs regular football and the best thing for him to progress right now is to leave United. He cannot possibly be happy with a “Call when needed” role at the club, can he? Well, he wants to stay that much we know and that much is baffling.

Some ppl are just loyal nd have no hidden agenda. My personal opinion is dat he feels settled here nd even tho he doesn’t start as much as he would like, he has a better attitude than d likes of Rooney. If i didn’t knw any better, i wud say his presence at man utd bugs nd u want him to leave. Everythng u have written in dis article highlights. If he doesn’t get starts under Fergie, we will see Moyes’ plans 4 him.
We lov him too much,iz importants to us….iz better to sell rooney and not him coz he lov our club from his heart…..
Ask Ole Gunnar Solskjær. A top Eurpean club has an awful lot of games in a season nowadays.. & United are fighting on all fronts so there is potentially 50 + games. This needs a squad not a team. Also he loves the club, knows the fans love him and realizes he is at the greatest club on planet earth…. Nuff said?
It wl be better to allow wayne rooney to follow his mind and to keep our Peter.C. Husband and united prince at old traford.
Though I’m an arsenal fan I just lyk his humbleness
