Arch rivals Manchester City and Manchester United are heavily linked with Atleltico Madrid’s starlet Radamel Falcao. The Columbian is by all means costly and perhaps both clubs will have to sell players from their star studded squad to make way for superstar Falcao.
City have already given up on retaining their premier league crown as United have been absolutely brilliant in the league this season. Thus Roberto Mancini’s sights are firmly set on building squad next season to regain the league title.
Both Manchester clubs have fantastic squads having quality and depth to challenge with the very best. Therefore, to make way for Falcao, they have to sell stars. The question is, who will be sold?
Manchester City have already sold one of the brightest young talents in the World in Mario Balotelli. The Italian joined AC Milan in the winter transfer market and is performing well for the mighty Rossoneri.
Now the sky blues are expected to let go another star striker Edin Dzeko in the up coming summer transfer window. The Bosnian forward joined City in 2011 from Wolfsburg and might be moving back to German Bundesliga after not getting enough chances at the club this season.
Dzeko has only made 13 league starts for the citizens and he is frustrated with substitute role at the club even though he has scored more goals coming on from the bench. If Mancini can somehow lure Falcao then a front 3 of Tevez, Aguero and Falcao will be fearsome for premier league defenders.
Manchester United are in more complex scenario when it comes to signing Falcao. The dilemma is by no means a bad one as Ferguson has four quality strikers at his disposal already. Who will be sacrificed if they are to add Falcao to their ranks?
In all fairness, Hernandez, Rooney, Robin van Persie and Welbeck can all score 20 odd goals a season if they are given regular starts then the question arises that do they really need Falcao that bad?
If yes, then may be Hernandez is going to be sold. Not just because rumors are linking him elsewhere but because he is technically less versatile as compared to other three strikers. Although, he is a wonderful finisher and an impact player but United may as well want more to further strengthen their ranks.
Falcao is arguably the best and most complete striker in the world right now and his signing may as well make a huge difference to which team will win the premier league next season. Whether or not he will join one of the Manchester clubs, we shall know how the saga unfolds in summer.

None of them wil sign Falcao – Chelsea need him most and Abramovich will make sure he pays more than anyone to sign him
But Chelsea already have a 50 million pound striker.
Haha 50 million striker
Abramovich should have bought 50 million “one pound fish” instead of that sulking player
