Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain to Qualify with Ease

Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain to Qualify with EaseJuventus and Paris Saint-Germain will be looking to finish the job tonight and qualify for the quarter finals of champions league with ease. The Italian and French leaders dominated the first legs away from home against Celtic and Valencia respectively and just have to ensure that no blunders cause any upset.
Juventus strolled to victory in Glasgow defeating Celtic 3-0 in their own backyard. The Scottish side have a near impossible task at their hands and it is highly unlikely that they will turn the tie around by scoring 3 or more away goals in Italy, that too against the Italian champions who did not lose a single game last season in Serie A.
Old Lady’s defense has been one of the main factors behind their success and amazingly Juve have only conceded one goal at home that was scored by Shakhtar in a 1-1 draw. This fact itself explains the towering task Celtic have on their hands tonight. The tie is well and truly over unless Celtic can somehow pull a miracle against all odds.
On the other hand, Valencia lost the first leg against Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 at Estadio de Mestalla. The Spanish side scored late in the first leg to pull one goal back but that did not really change the equation much as they conceded 2 crucial away goals that makes the task all but difficult in France.
Lavezzi and Pastore starred in Paris Saint-Germain win. They already have top quality talent at their disposal and a manager with immense Champions League experience so the home side will be clear favorites to see off Spanish threat and qualify for the last eight of the competition.
All the eyes will be on new signing David Beckham that is if he starts the game. The fans would love to see whether the 37 years old still has it to compete at the best club competition in the world or not.
Any upsets tonight are highly unlikely as the ties are not much delicately poised as they were last night. Having said that, anything is possible in the champions league and we have witnessed major shocks in previous years as well. So, the chances of any upset may as well be low, but watch we must.
