With the departure of Rossoneri’s two main strikers Ibrahimovic and Cassano, El Shaarawy is now the main man. The youngster has been the key to AC Milan’s revival in the league and currently tops the goal scoring charts this season not only for club but also in Serie A. Such stats and performances have attracted numerous top clubs including Arsenal but Milan will most likely hold onto El Shaarawy.
There is hardly a young talent, which does not catch the eyes of Arsene Wenger. Arsenal manager is always on the hunt for stars in the making more than he searches for proven talent. Talking to EuroSport he has made his interest in El Shaarawy quite clear. Wenger claimed:
“El Shaarawy is a very mobile, very technical young player. His philosophy fits perfectly with mine.”
When asked will he be interested in making a move for the 20-year-old forward, Wenger replied:
“You never know. I just say I love the way he plays.”
Arsenal have been missing the firepower upfront as front three of Podolski, Giroud and Walcott have not been at their best especially in the league. It can be argued that the first two will take their time to settle in the premier league but then the same can be said about El Shaarawy.
He might have all the traits of an exciting young forward but will he be a hit in the English league, none can guarantee that. Wenger might be granted a hefty transfer kitty for January but with his reputation in the market, he will probably have El Shaarawy on top of the wish list. However, Rossoneri will like to keep their starlet as for now he is the most significant player in the side.
Even after winning the last four games in the Italian league, AC Milan lie 7th in the table with 27 points. Adding to that, they are no less than 6 points behind the champions league places with Napoli and Lazio sitting on 3rd and 4th respectively with 33 points.
Milan cannot afford to lose out on Europe’s premier competition by losing El Shaarawy who has been the key to their revival and their main hope to finish in top 4 this season. Not qualifying for CL will eventually lead towards stars departure. With only one game left this year, the January transfer window is near and selling him will deteriorate the situation where the club will be looking to sign a replacement who might or might not settle that quickly.
Considering Milan’s financial conditions, one may think that they will be tempted to sell El Shaarawy for 20 million or so. If that is the case then the club will have to spend whole of that amount to find an equally quality player to fill his boots, so why sell in first place. Again, if Galliani always looks at the numbers then within a season or two if El Shaarawy does well, his price will easily be doubled.
Top European clubs are always going to fly close circles for such a quality player. However, without a doubt, it is a no brainer that AC Milan must stamp authority and make it clear that El Shaarawy will not be up for sale.
Allegri isnt an idiot but Galliani is he might sell Shaara boy
+ he deserves better than Arsenal
stupiddd if you think that galliani is an idiot. when did you start watching footbALL??
no one want to go arsenal now cause they are rubbish
wenger has been on the hunt for EL shaarawy, but given milan position on the table i dont think milan will sell him
